MSFN Forum: Gingerbread (Android 2.3.2) for HTC Desire HD leaked

Your author was becoming already very impatient for latest ROM for his Desire HD ad today (11th week in year of 2011) my prayers were answered. Nice chap with even nicer nickname sniper911 (obviously big fan of Yevgeny Dragunov also known as father of great peacekeeping tool Dragunov) has posted leaked version of Gingerbread 2.3 for Desire HD.

As soon as this firmware surfaced (like German U-boat in Atlantic during 1945) destroyers (for U-boot) and developers started gathering around it and after couple of hours releasing custom ROM's for Desire HD.

First of many was Vilain who posted his art here.

Naturally just couple of minutes later another chap (my favorite young ROM star, and probably very soon HTC developer (HTC if You know what You are doing grab this kid and give him interesting job)) known as mike1986 has posted his HD Revolution 4 (beta) ROM on xda forum [NIGHTLY] Android Revolution HD 4.0 beta 1 | Gingerbread & New Sense UI | Android 2.3

So here is what mike say's about his ROM:

Full wipe is absolutely needed in order to flash this ROM! You need ClockworkMod Recovery 3.0.0.6!



This is customized version of Android Revolution HD ROM.

---> removed some bloatware components like Amazon mp3, sound hound, etc.
---> Rooted (superuser permissions)
---> All stock components updated to latest (Market, Maps, etc.)
---> & many more. I will update first post soon!
