****. I saw him in Salina, KS on October 10, 2006. I had been wanting to see him live for years. Me and a friend drove up from Ok one day and caught the show in KS and I'm glad I didnt put off seeing him any longer. He had lost a lot of his energy id seen from his recorded acts but he was still one of the funniest comedians I have even seen.
That article sucked BTW. Focused too much on his drug use and barely mentioned his career. made him out to sound like a junkie. Surprisingly, CNN has a better one. http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/06/23/carlin.obit/index.html |

It is a sad day. I thought he was a good comedian, his bits made sense, he talked about stuff that most people only thought about. My fav. standup of his work was his Jammin in New York.
