I'm moved that Shark keep updating the codec package for months, and i've updated to 4.7.1 beta today.
But when i preview audio file "m4a" that is to be transmitted to my Nokia Phone, WMP cannot play it but Nokia Music Manager?
i have CorePlayer installed on my phone, most multimedia file can play well.
Wondering if the package support all the MPEG4 files, such as 3GP,M4A,M4B,K3G,MQV? Hope feedback...

please use plain text - even though I am old and 1/2 blind there is no need to increase the font size.

all mpeg4 formats are supported. Currently, 3GP and M4A can be loaded directly into WMP11

I will add file recognition to WMP11 for the file formats M4B, K3G, MQV
which are currently not recognized as playable, even though they are.

Moved deeper for Shark's quick reply~
i've checked installed codecs and MPEG4 settings, removed conflict, but still M4A file cannot be played. But on another XPSP2 and Vista SP1, it can sing well, No "ALL codec related installations" found. Strange, right?

already tried when it ocurred, installed 4.46,4.57.4.7,4.7.1beta, no idea why happened on this system wacko.gif i have recover system and avoided the issue.

Well, 4.7.1beta for another problem, i find chaos of associated icon, such as rmvb for rm icon, no choice for swf file, etc. No such issue happened for 4.57 or 4.46.
Can Shark affirm the icon dll file? i believe it includes all the icons...

I took my time answering . . . I was afraid to 'move' you again.

Yes, I place the icons into a dll for windows to access as required.
rm and rmvb are exactly the same thing, realmedia format. I am not concerned that an RM file has an RMVB icon.

Do the files play? (this is the current extent of my concern)

When I have the time to look into these trivial issues, I will correct them. (not anytime soon)
Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Hello, I have problems with the play of m4a (lossless) audio files
I have tried on 3 different computers. In all of them with many release of VKP I have the same problem (don't play Windows Media Player encountered a problem.....)
I have now installed the last 4.7.2 release and don't work.

Any Idea?

Thanks
