Windows Explorer biggrin.gif

Connect the iPod, go to x:\iPod_Control\Music\ where x is the letter of the mounted drive, and in each subfolder should be your music files.

Accordingly that is the standard method of doing it... search around and see for yourself e.g. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/34579/138629.html

"The quick and dirty way to solve your problem is to browse through the hidden folders on your iPod after mounting it as a hard drive on your system. However, browsing through the folders on the hard drive increases the potential for corrupting the iPod database, which may result in losing all your songs from the iPod before you transfer them to your PC. Use this method at your own risk."

Sounds a bit risky to me. I suggest paying $14.99 for a small software app called "iPod Access" You can try it for free from this site --

Pay $14.99 for a file-copier? blink.gif

A batch file would've done almost the same thing...

Wich iPod do you have? I was planning on buying the 1GB Nano, but I just read on the ephPod site that it may not work properly with "new iPods". There nothing more "new" than Nano, so I'm thinking if the app will work or not.

You can use either IpodAgent or PodUtil.

Do a quick Google search for podutil252setup.exe and/or ipodagent1010.exe.

Should find what your looking for.
