ok i have hacked iexplore to have a custom icon but the internet explorer icon on the desktop does not change and all the others do does anyone no why this is.
P.s i have replaced all iexplore files on my computer so its not being backed up from the dllcahe or system32 folder |

nope i find away to disable that crap because when i hacked explorer.exe to replace the my computer icon and some other crap it keep going on about me doing it so i got rid of it.
Could there be a .dll file with the iexplore icon in it that is backing it up. |

Hey Terminator...I think that IE Icon is coming from your shell32 file...and it's likely there because you have Classic Start Menu enabled....would that be right? If so....it's in your shell32

yep i thought the same but i changed that one as well so i am stuck with it for now but i will find out how to do it.

I have worked it out at long last you need to change the another system file from the link on the desktop to change to your new icon.
shdoclc.dll is the one which was backing up the first iexplore icon. |
