I hate BSoDs.
After I maintain my computers, over and over and over, I STILL run into them. The most recent being on my Vista laptop. I forgot why, but it was there. It doesn't let you sleep any easier if it appears at 3 in the morning. I swear, it is scary when it happens. That eerie blue glow... |

I don't care if they show up, I have not had one on my machine that I didn't cause on purpose. Usually I have to fix them on client machines, but they are usually the just a handful of normal ones and don't take long to fix.

My main desktop used to get them every few days. I then realized it had to do with malfunctioning USB ports; I disabled those and the BSODs disappeared!

I don't encounter them on my pc's at home at all (unless I trigger them on purpose)... At work it's different, but thanks to cluberti's directions and WinDBG I manage to find the culprit and get rid of them.

At work we'll see them maybe once or twice a month. At home I have not seen one on my current computer yet, and I've had the same install of XP on it since 2001.
I love those things. I hate how they changed it for Vista. |

I only ever get BSOD's when I do stupid stuff, or cause them purposefully. Or when using TI-connect, which has the buggiest drivers ever. The last time I got a BSOD I was trying to play portal on my laptop. Took me about 5 BSOD's and a lot of settings-changing to decide that no, the orange box was not going to run on an intel mobile integrated graphics 945 chip. =/

BSOD's, crashing, freezing and any related error is the bane of my existance in computing.
I hardly encounter a BSOD while using my computer, they only happen to appear if I did something wrong or my hardware happens to be corrupt or conflicting. |

I like them actually. I learned a lot by looking up those hex codes and errors and whatnot. Its better than getting a bomb or a question mark on a Mac where your fix is to reboot and hope for the best, or run the repair with the CD. I like getting in there and fixing those things.
I remember when Windows 2000 came out, Microsoft used to run 2 page (gatefold) ads with a BSOD on it. I remember cutting all those out and covering my cubicle with them at the time. |
