I did the best I could. I found about 10 helpul websites (a few from this site's contributors) and a bunch of other Googles, as well as some archival digging.

Note that any if an update replaced a previous, I DON'T show the original, and also, this is fundamantally for the OS only, with little or no info on Office, Outlook, etc...

Hope this is useful.

Since MS isn't providing any new updates for 98/SE, just for I.E. 6 and O.E 6,
the best update or upGRADE I've found is the Unofficial SP2 for windows 98/SE.
It adds a lot of fixes and increased functionallity to 98/SE.
Heck, lets just call it Windows 99. whistling.gif

Add the Defrag program from Windows ME, which runs about ten times (10X) faster than the old\
'98 Defrag, and you've got a sweet running OS for older and slower PC's.

Cheers

Good work.
It would be even better if you would also provide direct download links to files.
And you are missing a bunch of updates.
They are all here [+ links to other sites that have lists of updates/patches/(hot)fixes]:

Thanks. As for links, I don't want to draw the ire and wrath of Mr. Gates. They are easy to Google, and there's a Japanese site that has just about all of them - another rather easy Google find.

Will look over these tomorrow, but remember I omitted the ones that were replaced by newer ones, and ignored IE and Outlook and other "peripheral" programs. Also tried to stay specifically to 98SE.

BTW, your site was a big help and an inspiration. smile.gif

I can't seem to find the site you mention.
Could you email me the link, please?

Email sent.
I am going to reinstall Win98SE again (new HDU) and so I am going to"play" with a few tips, tricks, and files beforehand.
Just a FYI.
