Windows Lupus Project Alpha 3 is available for download.

This is a minor release, mostly fixes bugs from Alpha 2, also in Alpha 3 marxo dropped Shutdown.exe and Shell32.dll from Revolutions Pack 7.

Windows Lupus is going to be Windows 98 with a more modern interface.That's just the basic idea.Check this site out: http://www.winprj.net/board/ to find out more under Windows Lupus Section.

From the website http://www.winprj.net/board/

Main core updates are:

- Updates and bug fixes (Official and Unofficial)
- Core files updated with newer (ME) Files
- 32-bit Icon Support [R]
- UDMA DOS Drivers
- Add/Remove Programs Replacment [Rm]
- Shutdown Replacement [Rm]
- System Properties Replacement [Rm]

Main GUI updates are:

- Skinning Support + Skins [Rm]
- Animated Boot Logo (WLL) [R]
- Shell update (Icons, Bitmaps, Dialogs) *
- Thumbnails fix [R]
- PSD Thumbnails in Explorer
- Animations in C/M/D Dialogs
- Control Panel Update
- Fonts Update
- Welcome Center [WLWC]
- Windows Minesweeper [WLMS9]
- Windows Lupus Style [Official Alpha Style] NEW

Planned Features:

- These functions and components are planned and/or are in development.

- Windows Photo Viewer [WPV]
- Windows Live Messenger Look 'n' Feel [WLMLNF]
- Windows Calendar [WCLR]
- Windows Vista Screensavers
- more to be added...

Ideas:

- These functions and components are planned but they are still not in development.

- Windows Clock Applet
- WebView Redesign
- System Properties Replacement (sysdm.cpl)

Open for discussion:

- These functions and components are opened for discussion and I need some opinions about them.

- Windows Sidebar
- Carousel Menu

* Shell Update is maybe the biggest part of WLP. It is based not just on changing resources, but also re-styling dialogs and making them more user-friendly. With some new Vista-like dialogs you will be able to easily find and reach desired destination or finish you task.

[R] - Features entirely transplanted from Revolutions Pack.
[Rm] - Features originally from RP, modified.

EDIT:Sorry!Link was broken because I accidently typed a hyphen after the website name.FIXED.

I always thought (and still do think) that "Windows Lupus" sounded too much like a virus for your operating system! Lupus is, of course, the body's immune system's malfunction in which it attacks healthy tissues instead of germs and viruses. This causes much pain through inflamation. Perhaps Windows Lupus causes much pain and suffereing to the Windows operating system and lets in all kinds of unwanted viruses? I wonder why the name "Lupus" was chosen? Who's currently working on this project?

The feature I like is the fonts because Marxo(Handler of Windows Lupus)has made fonts in Windows Lupus added a similar type of technology of Cleartype and now thry anti-aliase themselves.
Some other features:
Vista Screensavers( thumbup.gif )
All Original 98 Schemes removed(The only one left is Windows Classic which will be a non-lameskin theme)
DIALOGS are going to be more like Vista (That means easier to use opening files)

Can you tell us a bit more about it that cleartype like technology or are you smoking too much weed right now ?

Sounds like this:
http://mufunyo.net/cumfonts/

I posted a tutorial on how to patch the fonts in the RP thread.

Well, better than i thought! thumbup.gif
There are some things i want to highlight:
- "Do you want to restart?" dialog is popping several times and you must click No. You must work this around as Gape did;
- Seems that you're not using (all) RP7.11 libraries. I noticed that RP7.11 feats/bugs aren't there and anti-Lupus code ( blushing.gif ) is not present;
- BROWSEUI.DLL is not the latest version;
- Monitor image is not updated in shell32.dll;
- I've saved updated logo for the last moment hoping for something breathtaking and... f*** pshhh lol...
- Some cool wallpaper is needed.

I know about the first one, **** it I couldn't work that stuff out.
I know that I am not using all RP7.11 libraries, I just don't understand why the hell would you write anti-Lupus code instead of improving something else wacko.gif
How do you mean "not the latest version"???
I know that the monitor isn't updated it is still Alpha 1.
Updated what? Didn't understand that quite well...
I have a ql wallpaper but I don't want to include it yet (same as some other stuff)...

Please help improve this POS Alpha 1...
