Great improvement over usb_prep8.

But i have one problem:

On my main machine usb_multiboot2.cmd window close by itself during the step "Make bootsector files in btsec folder".
I included that part of usb_prep.log.

QUOTE
Copy XP BootFiles .....
usb_xpbt\boot.ini
1 File(s) copied
usb_xpbt\BOOTFONT.BIN
1 File(s) copied
usb_xpbt\NTDETECT.COM
1 File(s) copied
usb_xpbt\NTLDR
1 File(s) copied

Copy BartPE minint\setupldr.bin as peldr and Hexedit peldr with gsar .....

Make Bootsector Files in btsec Folder ....

On another machine the program runs fine. I use the same USB-Stick on both machines.
So i think the problem is related to the windows version, but both systems run XP Pro SP2 fully updated in english.

Maybe someone have an idea???

Thanks and greetings...

[EDIT]

Found the mistake....

I had two folders USB_MultiBoot2 on my harddrive. After i deleted one, everything went fine thumbup.gif

Great work guys!

[EDIT END]

I am experiencing the same problem, but I have not been able to resolve it.

The command window simply closes itself after displaying "Make Bootsector Files in btsec Folder ....".

It is not easy to say what is causing your problem. It might be hardware or OS dependant.
I did not experience this problem, but you can try to use the program
on a different computer and with another USB-stick.

Can you format your USB stick or just make sure you dont have there btsec folder, copy setupldr.bin from anywhere to USB stick root, it even could be an empty txt file renamed to setupldr.bin, open command prompt in \USB_MultiBoot2\makebt\ and type:
CODE
makeBS2.cmd X:\setupldr.bin

where X is your usb drive letter.
Tell us what happens and whether you got btsec folder on USB root, with SETUPLDR.bs and BackupBS.ori inside.

Does the path to \USB_MultiBoot2 folder contain spaces?
What is your USB stick size? Do you use PEtoUSB to format it?

Hi ilko,

You are quite right Thanks.
I observed the same program crash when USB_MultiBoot2 folder was deep nested in Documents and Settings,
which results in a path with spaces.
So it is necessary to avoid this and Unpack USB_MultiBoot2 Folder in the Root of your Drive.
Will have a look what is causing it exactly and how to get rid of it. MakeBS2.cmd is not giving the problem.

EDIT: 5 feb 2008
Removed %_mypath% in Making BootSector Files Section.
Uploaded correct USB_MultiBoot2.zip
