I have downloaded AIK here :
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en And run it from a server 2008 machine (x64 Datacenter). I am trying to create an answer file but when opening the windows image I receive the following error : http://i35.tinypic.com/2n7o4yv.jpg Any hints ? |

WAIK should never be installed on a server like that |

Generally speaking it's because the WAIK and the Image it's trying to open aren't compatible, I had the same when I tried to open an SP1 image on the older version of the WAIK.
Are you sure that you downloaded the newer WAIK rather than the older one Windows AIK for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (x86, x64, ia64) - DVD (English)en_windows_automated_installation_kit_1.1_x86_x64_ia64_dvd_71832.iso size = 1,196.10mb date = 2008-04-01 Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) - DVD (English)en_windows_vista_windows_automated_installation_kit_dvd_X13-63415.iso size = 992.16mb Date = 2007-05-07 |
