I'm not exactly smart with computers, I am also not stupid either. But for some reason I can't download anything from www.microsoft.com I keep getting a "Page not found error" (The domain Download.microsoft.com does not exist) But i am able to do everything perfectly on my laptop which is also running XP. I feel stupid and did not know where to go, sorry if this is the wrong forum to be post this but I am out of ideas anyone wanting to help an id*** out would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

So you can connect to "http://www.microsoft.com" but not "http://www.microsoft.com/downloads" ? Or you can connect but when you start downloading it fails? Are you using Internet Explorer if yes what version? Have you tried this with Firefox?

Are you using Internet Explorer if yes what version? Have you tried this with Firefox? I can connect to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads, but say I wanted to download Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en If i click "Download" I just get a "page not found" it does not even bring up the download window. I just tried to update to IE 7 and it worked, but i got an error that said it did not work all the way and told me to click "tools" and "windows update" so i did. I think there is a problem with my IE cause when i clicked tools and windows update i get "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view." [Error number: 0x8007000B] I have Firefox and that does not work also. I am thinking that the windows update error more then likely has something to do with it. (I had to get the IE 7.exe from my laptop and send it to my desk since I could not get it from this computer) This post has been edited by Xinliben: Jul 29 2008, 09:38 PM |

Try integrating a good download manager such as IDM into your IE and see if it works.
Firefox beats IE but MS Updates should be happy with IE. |
