Note: the fix for the problem with INFs in HFSVCPACK is no longer mentioned in the changelog here because it's included in the quick-bug-fix final 1.3.1. Changes: - [HFAAO] path of HFSLIP working folder can now contain spaces (compressed binaries inside addons couldn't be extracted in such case) This post has been edited by Kiki Burgh: Feb 26 2007, 02:07 AM |

Kiki I think that you should remove some addons/programs then try to install windows, after you have checked that all is working, you can add one addon/program. This is the best way to find why it doesn't working.

A question, before the latest update of WGA(KB905474) I only had a LegitCheckControl.cab and Windows Updates never complained about KB905474, but since the last update and even with an updated LegitCheckControl.cab WU now asks about KB905474, was something being done before so WU wouldn't ask for the hotfix that the new WGA brake?

Simply LegitCheckControl.cab isn't updated so WU ask you to install KB905474 EDIT: Has someone an issue with svchost.exe service? Mine, at startup and sometimes when I use pc, takes 100% CPU usage. Ok I have tested that way too some days ago (if you have read my previous topics) and yes it doesn't work. The only way to remove KB905474 from WU, is to slipstream KB905474 in HF directory, that's all. |

Oh well, guess as I don't like to have the WGA exe talking to MS on every boot I won't include it unless it becomes obligatory; thanks.

It doesn't have to because it already does... You can even call it r.exe if it makes you feel better... |

The problem is brought up while setting it up. Ie4unit.exe puts out the error dialog and it stops. The error dialog comes out again by T-13 though it advances previously when OK is pushed. It seems to be generated an error while processing INF file. When OK is pushed, IE cannot even here be used because there is no IE in the start menu even if OOBE doesn't start, and it becomes a desktop screen after the setup is completed though the setup continues. This problem occurs regardless of whether to integrate IE7. It is not possible to specify it though it doesn't know whether the problem occurs if which hotfix is included though thought that there is a problem in hotfix included in the HF folder. Does the same symptom happen, and was nobody able to solve safely? Attached File(s) |

The cause turned out. Together caused by having put it in advpack.dll though the run time of VB6 is put in the HFEXPERT\WIN\SYSTEM32 folder, and Regsvr32 was done with T-13. the folder When Advpack.dll was deleted from the HFEXPERT\WIN\SYSTEM32 folder, it came to operate normally. However, OOBE is not executed after all, and it crashes when it starts starting IE. This post has been edited by 450: Mar 3 2007, 02:25 PM |
