Sorry for the senseless bump, but I'm a bit anxious about the day the trusty old Xperia E3 breaks, it's already banged up somewhat since clumsiness is in my crappy genes...think I've improved slightly in the course of the last decade, but the damage is done, mostly just the case and damaged camera lens (another even more stupid accident that at least wasn't entirely my fault) which I eventually recently lost...had it taped on (didn't retape in time) so at least there was some hard cover on when camera wasn't in use, I don't use the camera for anything interesting... I don't know, I just like my old stuff. If I could go back in time and get the old one as factory new... At workplace for work stuff, my department got smartphones recently, Samsung Galaxy A15. I think I'd rather have another old banged up Xperia than one of these modern bricks for personal use. I know software support is going bye-bye one by one...ugh... Good day to everybody. I have been out of the loop for a while, sorry about that. I'm not a big fan of Windows 11, but the new LTSC 2024h2 leaked build 26100 seems to be a decent build. On Windows 10, I used to run a short install_wim_tweak script on the install.wim before applying, to remove some components like Defender, Search and Cortana. However, this doesn't seem to work anymore with Windows 11. My question to you kind and knowledgeable people on this board: - Do you guys know of a method to remove Defender from install.wim, or at least some way to (temporarily) turn it off, etc.? - Do we really have to learn to live with Defender, or there other ways to tame it? - Does WinNTSetup have any capabilities to assist with this? If this was discussed in this thread before, please excuse my laziness, I will try to read up on the matter. Thank you!

@feodor2 I have deeply tested uBlock Origin 1.57.2 and older versions of uBO in Mypal 68.14.0b, Mypal 68.13.7b and Mypal 68.13.9b. All in multi-process mode on my computer with a Pentium 4 32-bit single-core CPU, even in different Windows XP installations. I got the same issues, the same problems as already described here. Conclusion at the moment: uBlock Origin in Mypal 68 with default multi-process mode is not working properly on my computer with a single-core CPU. Updating of filter lists is broken which results in a complete breakage of uBlock Origin. As long as this cannot be confirmed or fixed by you, I'll revert all installations back to single-process mode which is more stable on my computer with a single-core CPU than your recommended and by default preconfigured multi-process mode. At least as for uBlock Origin. In single-process mode, uBlock Origin is working as it should. Sorry for these bad news! Nevertheless, I really appreciate your efforts in developing Mypal 68. PS: If anyone were or weren't able to confirm my observations on a computer equipped with a single-core CPU, I would really appreciate that. But there is also the possibility that I am the only one, for whatever reason. So, the question is not "To be or not to be" but am I really the only one?

I think you should check out Windows Sidebar port for Windows 8 and newer called 8GadgetPack, it comes with a gadget for safely-removing drives

You can get the text back on Firefox 72 before whatever updated in the forum that broke compatibility, and Iron 109. For the MSFN links, when you paste the link, and the preview comes up, click the black banner that says to show only link. It seems that sometimes the preview option for forum links doesn't work.

I remember that on my old (not functional anymore) laptop which was running Windows Vista & Windows 7 my eternal drive would spin-down on safe-removal only when it was plugged into USB3 ports and not USB2 (same behavior on both OSes). But what probably made the difference was that for USB3 I had AMD drivers installed, while for USB2 I didn't bother and stayed with Windows's build-in ones. So you should probably just install drivers from AMD/Intel.
