Thanks Softice. This is a great little program. You are absolutely sure this contains no spyware/malware? I know it is certified clean but I have had issues with other TCPIP patches being infected. I ran your latest TCP-Z through four scanners and it appears to be clean.

This is good news. The lack of completely unnecessary placebos available at Vistas launch definitely kept some people from upgrading. Good to see they'll have those available on the 7 launch date.

Lol yeah, these kind of worthless programs love to get an early start. Next there will be a service "tweaker".

I agree - its exactly like cutting large useless hole in an otherwise good wall.

Doesn't that apply to the original text on the page as well? :P

I wouldn't call the hole useless - somewhere in the forums I linked the original article that analyzed the limit when it first appeared - basically, it just slowed down the imagined virus for a couple of hours (assuming that it grows at exponential rate). But it crippled user's programs immensely.

And the wall (the limit) isn't in any TCP standard, it was invented by Microsoft. (Sadly, how things are going, it may become a standard).
