Hi I have a problem on a few laptops running win7 ultimate after domain joining the machine it takes an age to login even disconnected using a cached profile Many thanks in advance

What media do you have when installing Windows back onto the machine? Also it sounds like the Recovery Partition has been removed thats why the F11 option usualy disapears

This is normal for the first time you run IE 7 or 8 you just need to save the default settings and it will not come back up again

Right click the desktop the go to view then is the option show desktop icons ticked if not tick it???

From what i hear you can only get Vista with SP2 form MSDN now

Have you run a memory tester on your machine?

I see the sence in using a Hardware firewall and a software firewall but in this instance it is 2 software firewalls I myself use a software firewall backed up with a hardware firewall

I dont realy see any sence in running 2 firewalls it would just use more system resources than one???
