  1. I hope everyone knows that I was totally kidding with my last post. In that post, my stream of lack of consciousness writing style entered into the turbulent rapids and finally flowed over a 500-foot waterfall into a sick joke. I am a total pacifist, in all regards. Man's inhumanity to his fellow man (and the Earth) is deplorable and his inhumanity to animals is in the same category. If you want to see some absolutely heartbreaking images, Google Image "deer shot with arrows". There you'll see many pictures of deer completely penetrated by arrows in every possible direction through their snouts, chins, necks, etc., still alive and walking around -- with puzzled looks on their faces -- left that way by their hunters to fend for themselves until they die, many weeks or months later. And you'll also see many "traditional" pictures of hunters, with sh*t-eating grins on their faces, acting so proud that they killed poor, defenseless Bambi. This is how I think the hunting scenario should be structured: Have all the hunters in the forest hunt each other and when one hunter kills another hunter, he then gets *all* the worldly possessions of the hunter he killed. And I know that all the deer would thoroughly enjoy watching "the thrill" of this chase.

  3. Noel, you crack me up. Seriously, we should have a thread just for the sh*ts and giggles of it all! We could call it "Start or not start--Talk Amongst Yourselves!" And funny, I just left a critique on DeviantArt about a style with all the taskbar itemw auto spread across the bottom. I mentioned the 'muscle memory' (sorry BigM) of having all the jumps to one side and how the mouse gravitates to them. Guess that is why I like the start menu...on the desktop where all my work gets done. My frequent programs are on the taskbar. Others are pinned to the menu.

  4. I was just pulling your chain (note the smiley). B) I'm a firm believer in "to each his own". It's good to know some folks like the Start screen. That's why these are personal computers. Me, I click once on the Classic Shell start button and the menu just stays there until I click on one of the entries, or something else. I use Classic Shell's "Classic style", which IMO is better than any version of the Start Menu Microsoft ever made. The coolest thing is I've been using it for a very long time, since Vista, and it's one thing about the UI I've set up that I haven't had to deal with changing out from under me in the last several major OS releases. There's a level of "muscle memory" utility that one reaches when things remain familiar for a very long time that's hard to reach again with a new approach. Maybe this is part of why I like Aero Glass for WIn 8 so much. Big Muscle, do you like how I worked the word "muscle" in there? -Noel

  5. Well, the only thing that Aeroglass is not, is "freeware". It is not free as in "freedom", nor it is free as in "free beer". It is a crossbreed between "nagware".and "donationware", but at the end it is a "shareware" in the "nagware" form. There is nothing inherently "bad" in a "nagware", the tool is the result of Bigmuscle's work , and he has all the rights in the world (plus one) to manage the distribution and donation, and amount of nagging and pretty much anything else related to his tool whichever way he sees fit , but let's call things with their name. jaclaz

  6. Which sh-it do you mean? That all sh-t which comes with your script above which periodically spams all windows with WS_EX_LAYERED message, makes all window content slightly transparent (so you cannot even watch the movie at night, because you see everything beneath), rendering all (even invisible) content on your desktop to totally reduce your PC performance and increase power consumption a lot and with this all, to have only transparent border without any additional features/effects etc.? I can say that your LayeredWindowsHack script is much bigger sh-t than having small watermark on the desktop

  7. NoelC Yes i have stop using Aero Glass. But still like to watch / read the circus about Aero Glass, which has no more usefulness other than eye candy, which is why i laugh so much at all the fuss about Aero Glass and Donations. NOTES: IF you want Aero Glass use windows 7 (it has real Aero Glass) which will not break… OR Install fake Aero Glass on windows 8 than make a Donation and be happy with your Frankenstein Windows 7/8 until it breaks… ,

  10. A quick google search revealed the following method creating a program in VB6. I guess you could load this up in your script as the first thing it runs. Source: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programmin...Q_21805315.html I have access to Visual Studio somewhere so I could attempt to build this for you at somepoint if you are not able to, just PM me if you want anything like this.
