  1. You don't have to thank me.. thank Microsoft for the half assed UI.That is just your opinion, I beg to differ! My opinion ? No it's not. It's a fact.XAML is the best thing that ever happened to Windows. You are wrong to say it is a fact, because it is not a fact, it is just your little opinion.what is so good with XAML I mean this is an OS not a website. also enforcing style elemets like that is not pretty, I rather have the taskbar W7 style but directly transparent/transcluent/whatever, but without blur, similar to my Win8 with Aero and stuff...

  4. The reason for MS Outlook not working on my system is due to this PATCH, thats included in the SP. Thank you Tommy, I don't even use Office XP on Windows 98 and because you had a problem, I felt the need to help. Thanks for helping me improve SP3. I wonder if someone can fix it? 1. Install the lastest SP (Main Updates only) 2. Replace MPR.DLL 4.10.1999 from SP3 with the original Windows 98 version 4.10.1998 3. Install Office 2002/XP + Office SP3 4. Right click on Microsoft Outlook icon located on the Desktop and click Properties 5. Setup your email and enjoy. A big thanks for testing and bug fixes. I will add notice to SP for users who uses MS Outlook/Express.

XAML is the best thing that ever happened to Windows. You are wrong to say it is a fact, because it is not a fact, it is just your little opinion. Now you are the only being self entitled, of course its my opinion but you have no right to jump on me stating otherwise, I never said it wasn't my opinion. It's a fact that XAML is being half assed with other elements creating a bastardized OS (which the average user wouldn't notice) and makes it harder for themes to be created (if anything aside from Window border themes is made).. But I state that "fact" is my opinion, like it or not... Stop the entitlement. Other people agree with me and im sure i am not the only one, stop being self entitled. I know because I've seen complaints from other people. "XAML is the best thing that ever happened to Windows" Not sure if serious or just trolling and being self entitled, it's clearly not the best, when I did an upgrade from a recent insider build to RTM, Almost NOTHING XAML Based was working and it was very slow and unresponsive, this would have never ever happened to any Win32 element as all were working fine. After a clean install everything worked fine, The new start still lags sometimes and takes a few seconds to show up when Windows 7 / 8 Start Menu / Screen would show up immediately and fast. I don't see how XAML Is the best thing that ever happened, it cannot even be themed, it's alien and buggy. It's "MY" Opinion and I say whatever I like, go bash your head somewhere else, bye.

  6. The Taskbar and all other elemnts are XAML Based, there is no way to theme these elements without restoring the Win32 elements. No matter what you do with the msstyles and theme files, it will never change. You don't have to thank me.. thank Microsoft for the half assed UI. By the way, the .layout file BM Provided with Win8rp atlas can be used with almost all old 8/8.1 theme atlas png textures to make them work with Win10 RTM/10240 http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170233-aero-glass-themeatlas/

  8. When you make an upgrade no key is required just run it from activated 7 SP-1 or 8.x. Then first time on line you get activated and HWID is stored on MS Activation Servers. (but anyway there is a generical key in your OS I checked that using aida64, same for everybody using same version). If during upgrade a key is requested, it means you are upgrading with the wrong version. Latter after upgrade, if you format and reinstall (clean install), the key is going to be requested twice, just skip it, DO NOT PUT ANY KEY, then when on line your OS gets activated automaticaly, as your HWID is already known. HWID I am sure you can change almost everything but if you change MB you lose activation. Old way to clean install the betas DO NOT WORK with these release (build10240). So if you don't make an upgrade first, you are not going to get activation (unless HWID is already known). You are free to make a local account, I recomend do not use express options, go one by one selecting you preferences, in order to protect your privacy as much as possible.

  9. Just to make it clear - the script is not written by me, just taken from one of the Reddit comments Also check: http://www.tenforums.com/customization/7161-how-uninstall-apps-using-powershell.html. Not really related to privacy but still useful when debloating the system. Be careful with uninstalling everything with Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackageIt will remove the whole Windows Store in the process.

  10. Not alone about the centered caption text, I admit I really liked this small detail in Windows 8 too (probably the only thing I enjoyed from default Win8 theme). I wonder if Big Muscle know if it will be technically possible to change the caption text position in a future release of its Aero Glass, I miss those centered windows titles. ^^

  11. not really. see the space between the left border and the title bar caption? that is the back button, it just has no picture (already seen and tested in the settings app, my lab rat for everything)

  13. Hello all, i would like to share my experience, first of all thank you Tihiy for creating this (i am a satisfied StartIsBack customer too). Unfortunately i had some bad errors with OldNewExplorer enabled, installations of some programs fail when activated, for example i tried to install Adobe Reader DC, Sony MediaGo, Office 2013 and Windows 8/10 Manager, all applications that use MS Installer, the installation stucks at the very end and it will stay in that matter until i kill it with the task manager. I was able to reproduce the issue with Windows 8.1 several times and now it reappears on Windows 10 (tested with many reinstallation of the OS, sadly i had a hardware issue, so it was necessary to do). From my observations, it stucks when the installer tries to create a desktop link. Disabling ONE resolved everything. Could someone try to install one of apps mentioned? The simplest and less invasive is Windows 10 Manager (Yamicsoft). And sometimes it corrupts like this and if i try to save something using the "Save with name" function, using like the Snipping tool or Paint, it will stall the program and i must force close it: Disabling ONE, in this case too, resolved everything (OS Windows 8.1 and Windows 10).

  15. The Windows 8 theme with some minor changes. Different subtle shadows around the windows. A little of glow on the window caption. Changed the "waiting" animation to the one in Windows 8.
