Hello,

Any ideas on why I don't see any subs for MPC-HC x64? Everything works fine for x86 but anything .mkv related has nothing sad.gif

Great work on this pack though!

Thanks

Works fine here..

Just download the latest MPC-HC x64 build (current latest build: svn 811)

Download MPC-HC x64 svn 811

Is that where I should be downloading it? I downloaded it from here:

http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/

Which leads to

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=170561

Is there some option I need to enable or disable... or a filter in the program? It just simply doesn't show any subs at all or even the system tray icon. Same with the link you provided.

Yes, download from the site link i gave you above.

Since the release of MPC-HC from http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/, there has been many updates to MPC-HC with many improvements (x86 and x64 versions updated near daily)

Just visit the site "http://www.xvidvideo.ru/ everyday, and your very likely to find a new build (well almost every 24hr there is a new build)

Tried the version you provided at that link and still nothing sad.gif. Don't know what the problem is.

Hi Shark
I have seen 2 different MPC-HC x86. one is on your VCP codec page that is http://xvidvideo.ru/, and another one is http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/index.html

Just want to know are there any difference between them. I mainly use MPC-HC because of its DXVA acceleration. I can see from these 2 sites, that the one on your VCP page gets updated very often, so just a bit confused here.
Which one is better in terms of DXVA acceleration, and stability.

Thank you

the one on Sourceforge is released by the main developer and considered to be 'stable'

The page I link to has development releases that are current (near daily) with many fixes over the stable' version.

Try this, go to options>output, and make sure "EVR Custom pres.** is selected.
Then go to playback, and make sure :Auto-load subtitles" is also selected

Cool got subs now thanks!

But is this what everyone has to do when they use MPC-HC x64? Also what's with the x:xx/x:xx basically the seek/play time on the top left when I skip around the video?

Yes, by default MPC-HC does not use EVR Custom pres.** (subtitles work only with EVR custom renderer, and "Auto-load subtitles" has to be selected)

Thats showing video seek time and video duration..lol

Ah I meant could I disable the seektime overlay but if not it's fine having subtitles is already great enough =)

Thanks again!

yes.gif Yes you can, (subtitles will still work).

To disable seektime overlay (OSD)
Go to options>Miscellaneous> uncheck "Show OSD" smile.gif

amazing info
thank you very much

earlier i was using k-lite 32 with ffdshow and 1080p used 40 odd % of cpu
now with mpc 64bit + mpc video renderer 64 bit same movie , only 4% usage

i feel mpc video renderer 64 is better than ffdshow 64 even though they are based on the same lib
video is not clear in ffdshow

i have intel E8400 and 8400 GS
