Hey, i'm using the latest vista codec pack and also the x64 components.

When using media centre it sometimes crashes, and i just had a thing popup saying 'windows has found solutions to problems' or something along those lines..

When i clicked on this i got the following message:

---

Will downloading xvid from the xvid team mess up the other codecs/settings i have with vista codec package?

Has anyone ever stumbled upon this problem?

Your issue is within x64 playback and the official Xvid Team does not do x64 releases.
I suggest openning the Video decoder configuration shortcut and change the Xvid setting to libavcodec.

1.5.3 Beta2 will be released Oct 26/27

This release will not contain the x64 XviD (because its too old) and favors libavcodec for the content
