DXVA seems to be broken in the latest releases. DXVA worked fine in 5.02 and 1.55, but now the movies I used to be able to play with DXVA refuse to play at all now. Also, the DXVA configuration utility doesn't seem to open up. I am also see 5.02 listed in the document file, but I uninstalled all previous versions and ran CCleaner before installing the new releases.

Thanks

1st of all, the Version file displays incorrectly, I forgot to update it. It still reads 5.0.2

In the H264 settings folder . . .
The DXVA shortcut only works if you use the other shortcuts to enable the codec.
The green shortcut enables the codec, the blue one stops ffdshow from decoding the content.

I used both shortcuts (green and blue to enable and to switch the one used) , but still doesnt work. The confg utility for DXVA doesn't even open. By the way, this is on Vista Ultimate on my laptop.

I can recreate the DXVA config utility not opening issue in a virtualized XP as well. I can recreate all the issues on my desktop running Vista Ultimate.

The shortcuts and the codec function as expected for me.

The config shortcut only works when the codec is active.

It is possible UAC is blocking the shortcuts functions.
Try rightclicking the shortcut(s) and choose Run as administrator

Ahhh. That was the problem. UAC was blocking it. Odd that I didn't receive any UAC prompts. I didn't have to run as administrator in the previous versions.
