I am running Vista Home Premium SP1 x64, and I just installed the VCP v1.5.6, and now most of my AVI file thumbnails are showing up as pictures (some are still not, however, none were before) but still will not play in WMP 11. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

The only suggestion I have at this time,

use the shortcuts provided in the AVI settings folder to change the splitter in use.

Thanks shark.....I tried that, but wasn't sure how to do it. Could you possibly give me some instructions? Thanks.

I did that....However, the "Microsoft's splitter" is set as default. How do I make "Gabest's splitter" default? I cannot find any setting to change it. Thanks.

Once you rightclick Gabests splitter and choose Run as administrator, it becaomes the system default.

(default) <-- is just text I placed on the shortcut to let users know what the installation default was (is).

Set both splitters as Run As Administrator, AVI files still won't play.

Do you have PowerDVD installed? If so, go to my homepage's troubleshooting section for a resolve.

Hi Shark....Can you give me any other ideas to get them to play? They are just regular AVI files....Thanks.
