i got a new one. the only thing i changed is the wallpaper. i swear to god i can't find a good one . but anyways, in spite of the holidays, that's the wallpaper i got. enjoy .

resolution: running at 1280x1024
theme: longhorn dry blue (uxtheme patched, then used the .msstyle)
wallpaper: samurai_in_the_rough (originally orange but i edited it to a purplishblue to match the theme)
icons: shaded blue (renamed all to alt+255 for no text and placed on centered righthand side of screen)

and my little du meter in the corner above the startbutton

i like it nice and simple, just replacing the defaults

I think you can find it here. You'll need StyleXP.

NOD32 told me there was several infiltrations and in fact the file I was downloading was a .exe, not .zip.
What happened to themexp.org ?

I disabled both AMON and IMON and then used UniExtract to find something usable and nothing. In fact, there was instead four different spywares!

So I really wonder what happened to this site.

I think I'll try VMWare. :/

@ Grunth0s - What icon pack are you using on your desktop? I love the the way they look, and the HD meter under the hard drive icon even better. TIA

I liked the Longhorn sidebar but in Vista MS changed it too much. When it comes to performance, Vista feels and runs faster then XP, I have it a month now on my laptop and the performance is also getting better, some programs starts faster after a while.

Xpero - Awesome desktop - What program do you use for the widgets and where did you get the harddrive widget from. Or is it Vista?

This is my desktop, I'm quite pleased with it, I really love my new monitor with 1440x900 resolution.

nice desktop you have there _Erik.. mind sharing it with me? And welcome on MSFN

The visual style is Area 04 (If you have problems installing it send me a PM but you should be okay).
My wallpaper:

and the mediaplayer you see is foobar2000 customized to my needs (if you have any trouble with it i'll be glad to help altough I'm not yet an expert).

They must have been watching this thread, LOL, downloads from themexp has been an .exe + spywares for over a year now (even for just wallpapers ).

BUT, as of yersterday, VS's from themexp now comes in .zip
