Hi,
First of all, nLite is a great application.
Now, while i tryed to run nLite on a Vista system by default (no compatibility setting were selected), it gave me an error. Now, i selected it to run in compatibility mode with XP SP2. Everything went fine until nLite begun to do it job, i mean to integrate and remove things. Is this a bug ?
Thnx in advance .
Arie
Make sure that you run nLite as an Administrator. Disable Windows Defender while running nLite. Also disable any anti-virus or anti-spyware application which you are using. Make sure that the directories where all the files are localed don't show those annoying security pop-ups asking you to continue if you copy files to them, et cetera. If it's still not working properly afterwards, contact Nuhi about it, who created nLite.
iuli_kyle
Yep, still not working sad.gif
Legolash2o
do you integrate IE7 by any chance?
bluhound
Same problem here. The only thing I tried to integrate is RyanVM's SP2 Update Pack. Just like what iuli_kyle said.
Not just that, RyanVM Integrator also has this problem.

I don't know whether this is relevant or not but I am using a vLite'd version of Vista Ultimate with UAC disabled.

*Forgot to mention that my Vista Ultimate is a 32bit version.
iuli_kyle
I figured out that it stops working after extracting RyanVm's Update pack, while it's updating the files. What is the problem ?
Arie
I would suggest asking Ryan instead newwink.gif
Madhav
works perfect for me on Vista Ultimate 32 bit
i tested it integrating Ryan's Updates, Code's Updates, Internet Explorer 7 and many more things
also removed many stuff, had it unattended, and applied tweaks and other options, all of them works very well

and finally tested the iso on vmware and on a PC, running as smooth as possible

what r ur computer specs?

Vista Ultimate x64, have some problems with nlite on it but nothing to worry about
Sanjay
I am running Vista Ultimate and I have problems with slipstreaming hotfixes for IE7 with nLIte. I use nLite only for slipstreaming IE7 and its hotfixes/updates. I have no problem adding the IE7 installer but as soon as I add the IE7 hotfixes, nLIte crashes.
browney595
Ive had problems running Nlite under vista ultimate 32 where the application terminates when trying intergrade the update pack, this only happends when i have Mcafee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.5 patch 1 installed on the machine

Still not working ...
iuli_kyle
So any fixing ?

Here is the error i get >

browney595
Yeah thats the same thing that happens to me i have provided the information from the event log above
iuli_kyle
I now figured our that it stops working when it is updating the files (it doesn't matter which addon i use).
nuhi
Nope, until I get that error nothing can be done.

I repeat it must be some sort of antivirus you have installed.

I'm not saying that it doesn't work with antiviruses, I use one, but sometimes people reported that it was the cause. Then I would try that version and it was fine for me, so it must be some sort of combination.
iuli_kyle
I tried even with BitDefender deactivated and it didn't worked.
browney595
this def seems to be the case Nlite works fine untill mcafee exterprise 8.5 patch 1 has been installed
nuhi
Yeah this guy who reported McAfee as being the cause, he says it didn't help until he uninstalled it and rebooted twice.
Weird I know. And it may be just coincidence.
iuli_kyle
Unistalled BitDefender and deactivated every security program. nLite still crashes when it is updating the files sad.gif
nuhi
Ok, good.
Then return all and I'll send you a test version when I figure out what to test for. Thx.
iuli_kyle
Everything is back now. Waiting your test version ...
Anyway, thanks for care.

There are tons of issue with all kinds of software on vista and this ntdll file.

Did you try the newest hotfixes for vista, the compatibility and perfomance fixes?
iuli_kyle
I have all Vista hotfixes and updates installed. But i don't get any error regarding ntdll.dll file. nLite suddenly stops while it's updating the files.
nuhi
Fixed in 1.4 Final, redownload it.
browney595
Have not had access in a while will try running it again

mehargags
Nuhi is right..... I could not run nlite while Kaspersky was running. Exited the Kaspersky & now can run nlite simply on my Vista x64 ultimate...
