Do anybody know how to disable APIPA in Windows Vista?
Registry modification which worked on Windows XP has no effect on Vista. I tried to add DWORD value IPAutoconfigurationEnabled = 0 to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\. But ipconfig /all still shows Autoconfiguration Enabled: Yes.

Off course I restarted computer...
The problem seems to be more complex. See this thread

If anybody know how to turn off apipa on Vista, please respond.

You are making the classic mistake thinking that if you experience a problem, then everyone must be experiencing the same problem - they're not. In that url you posted i only saw 1 other person than you experiencing this issue - the msft guy in that url didnt confirm it was a known issue. Like the msft guy said it might be a problem with your environment.
