I installed Nero 8 last week, the install was pretty simple, but not my dvd is not recognized by Vista. Has any one else had this trouble and been able to fix it without doing a clean install??

Could you please be more specific? I mean: vista version, dvd-rw manufacturer and how old it is, have you v-lited the install and what kind of installation did you perform in nero, default or custom? IMHO Nero8 is too bloated, just go for version 6 or customised 7.

I am using Vista Home Premium, and my dvd drive shows as Atapi DVD W DH16W1P ATA. I've only had the computer about 1 month, and was just trying to get it up to speed by installing the software you only wish it would come with. I did a custom install, but don't even remember any real options other than the file type association.
Thanks for any help.
