Hey folks, I'm having a slight problem here...

I have a Lite-On DVRW SHW-160P6S CD/DVD Drive and a HP DVD Writer 300n. They show up in the Device Manager (though with yellow-encircled exclamation points next to them) and when i double click on them, it says the device loaders can't be loaded and that they could be corrupt or missing. I have downloaded drivers for them, but none of them work. Windows gives me an error saying that these drives don't exist, though the Device Manager says otherwise... I do not have the installation cd's that came with the drives, though i suppose that wouldn't matter because the cd drives are not reading anyway.

the drives aren't even present in windows explorer

does anyone have any idea what is wrong? usually i can figure this type of stuff out, so im feeling pretty noobish... and i miss Diablo II...

any help would be greatly appreciated!

(EDIT: also, auto update through device manager and WindowsUpdate have done nothing)

wow... no lie, that worked perfectly. smile.gif my only concern was that UPPERFILTERS was not there, only LOWERFILTERS, but once i deleted it, and then restarted my computer, everything was restored.

I thank you very very very much!
