Don't know what is going on, computer is 1 year old and can't play 5 year old video games or movies without pausing. Can't surf internet because pausing, it is really annoying, my CPU usage jumps to 100% from 10% in no time and then goes right back down to 0.
Can anybody please help me, I have used SPYBOT, NORTON and VUNFOFIX and they show nothing.

I used to have a similar problem, and figured out, after lots of head scratching, that Norton was the problem. Moved to NOD32, and everything has been smooth, since then.
I'm not sure why Norton caused that CPU usage problem, but when I was gaming, driving GP4 actually, many races/hotlaps were ruined because everything froze for a second or three, and got going again.
Good luck!

Ok, unistalled Norton because it was using a lot but still have this problem where it slows down dramatically or stops and freezes for a few seconds, don't know what it is? Could it be a hardware thing such as my video card?
geek
that log looks clean. I would look for a copy of icesword (it can see processes/regkeys/files hidden by a rootkit that wouldnt show in hijackthis) IF you find anything use rootkitunhooker to take care of it.

if its not software doing it then it could be the cpu scaling back due to a heat issue or something use hwmonitor to check temp http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php (works with most chipsets)
Maxwellg18
it also looks like you have way too many backround programs running like java. stuff like that don't really need to run on your comp they should only run when needed

this thread has been dead for a month. Hes prolly fixed it by now (i hope)
