Hi
I would like to use the DVD burner on my wife's Vista laptop, to backup some large files I have on my XP home laptop. Can it be done?
Thanks

I spend a lot of-extended- time on the road (like now), so I don't have a router available. I do have a USB cable.

@Kel
Stop being weird. It's bad enough his Wife is running Vista and needs help on the transfer from XP, which means he's not sticking with XP for obvious reasons.
I think the answer may be under your nose. Ask the Wifey.

My sincere apologies to all involved. In my naiveté; I posted a computer question on a "Sarcasm Is The Lowest Form Of Wit" board (actually the poster who felt it necessary to actually explain that it was sarcasm was pretty funny). I'll do what I should have done in the first place, and just ask my girlfriend.
Bye Bye
