I have the Harman/Kardon Soundsticks II speakers, which consists of 2 front speakers and a subwoofer. All three worked fine (plug & play) in Ubuntu Linux but I can't get any sound out of the subwoofer in XP Professional x64. I have a Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 Motherboard with onboard Realtek ALC888 CODEC chip. The two front speakers plug into the subwoofer and then the subwoofer connects through a green line out jack to my pc. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!!!

Do the 2 front speakers work? Can you hear anything from them? Are there any knobs on the subwoofer box? Can you try the speakers on a different pc?

The two front speakers work in windows, there is a volume knob on the sub and i have it set in the middle so it would have to play some sound. I could hook them up to another pc but I know that it works perfectly because when I run Linux from the same box all three work and sound badass. WHY WON'T IT WORK IN WINDOWS?!?!?!?!?!
