This HAS been addressed piecemeal in this forum, but I'd really appreciate any pointers to the most comprehensive listing of what system variables can be changed and the best syntax for the .SIF file in the process.
One thing I've seen in discussions is that different people have tried the same (and different) syntax for these paths and gotten varying results. For what it's worth, I'm using Win2k Server (as a workstation), and would appreciate information that might be peculiar to this version of Windows.
I'd love it if someone had a complete .SIF file that showed the maximum amount of variation for placement of all these different paths. I think getting this right during the install with nLite is much smarter than making changes with regedit and manually copying files. I don't want to waste my time on anything that just cannot practically be changed.
I'm also interested in having a setup that results in the absolute minimum number of %USERNAME% subfolders under "Documents and Settings", as I would plan for there to only ever be ONE user for this computer -- ME.
I'd appreciate any help identifying any install paths that can be changed, such as the ones below. Thanks.
