We have a large 1200 branch network thats about to go wireless!! (apparently saves money on cabling!!!) we send out unattended cd's to branches to rebuild faulty or replacement hard drives. Our problem is that we cannot find any way of pre-configuring the wireless card during the unattended setup to connect to the domain? We have a script to set up the wireless but this can only be run after the install has finished and we can then manually join the domain via remote desktop which isn't ideal as we used to just send out a new unattended cd and forget about it, now we cant. All pc's are running XP Pro. Has any anyone come across this issue before or know of a work around?

I dont think that this would be possible. It would be very difficult at best. I would like to hear other peoples ideas with this smile.gif

First of, Wireless zero configuration is as we all know running on automatic as default in xp.

Also google is you friend, i have setup such networks in my previous jobs, but if all else fails, i will check into it myself and help you out.
