so, when I install XP (tweaked version) i have no internet. i try to renew my ip via command line but it says RCP server not found! what the heck, what is happening?

Full Version: new XP install doesnt have internet!
A minimum info on how you are connected to the Internet would be welcome if you want any relevant repliy.
From what I gather you connect to a lan with a fix IP ? Why renew it ? Can you ping the router if any ?

Try these:
1. Make sure your network adaptor has proper drivers
2. Make sure the Remote Procedure Call and the Remote Procedure Call Locator services are running.
