Hello there,
I'm just curious : I've always used CD-Rs to burn my nlited isos because it fits on a CD. But on a modern CD/DVD drive, wouldn't a DVD be faster to load ? has anyone tried or has actual figures ?
thanx =)

Here is a quick comparison table:
http://stream.uen.org/medsol/dvd/pages/dvd...at_DVDvsCD.htmlI guess that since after all it's an install procedure rather than a mere file copy, lots of other factors come into play, like bus, processor speed, quality of the media and accuracy of recording, etc.

As jaclaz said. Personally i long found burning on dvd-rws to be the most reliable method, and also a bit faster.
I recently installed on a old cd-rw and caught myself going back to the computer and got shocked as the install wasnt finished yet. I install windows more regulary then people have sex and go take a dump, so i really feel it was just slow.
