Hi,
I met one issue on laptop during vista recovery process:
after press recovery button (F11) during BIOS POST, bios active our backup partition and load winRE, but System Restore can't recognise vista system installed on C:\ drive to start restore process. However, in other different laptop, there is no this issue with same process.

Can someone give me some advice about above issue?
Why the System restore can't recognise the C:\ drive?
How did the system restore works? search vista partition by BCD or other files?

Thank you very much!
Baalzamon
I am guessing that winre doesn't have the drivers for the HDD. You will need to go integrate them into Winre.

Hi Baalzamon,
Thanks for your suggestion. However, I add the disk.sys and disk.inf into my WinRE image. It still can't solve my issue.
So I am confused for the System Recovery Options working principle.
Can someone give me more info about this kind of issue? Thank you.
