I love the Blue Login Screen from Vista Beta1 so I've modded the imageres.dll under Vista to have the old screen. But this doesn't work under Windows Server 2008.

How Do I change the logon screen:

Any ideas?

Same here, tried changing it by modifying the imageres.dll but no luck. I think there is a another file were it stores the classic logon screen, and server 2008 uses that files img resource. Been looking into many files but can't seem to find it yet, or a way to change it

That's because it is being enforced from tokens.dat. On Vista/Server 2008 there's no GINA anymore for us to tweak like that.

so you can't hack the logon screen in Server 2008?

Actually the logon screen in Server 2008 is more like the lack of a logon screen. There are only resources for the Vista logon screen. The blue background is rendered behind both of them.

Hey can someone help me? blink.gif

I get the background picture in the upper left corner and not on the full
place. It doesnt matter where i place it it goes wrong, i use Style XP and
Resource Hacker.
