I've read that usb keys are bootable. Would it be possible to boot off a usb harddrive like a 120gig usb hardrive and use it as a primary drive on a computer? Don't plan to put it to use anytime soonits just a question.

I've a extarnal hdd.
I can connect it through ie1394 port and usb2. they don't work because :
u'll have to load the driver to windows boot if you want to make them bootable and your bios has to support it
though I cannot give any further info..

Most BIOSs I've seen allow you to set the boot device to USB.
Don't expect it to be "really fast" though.
