So i burn this as a .iso file, then reformat. Do I add this file to my Vista .iso and reburn Vista? Can I use this on a existing OS and just start removing programs? Any help is appreciated, as I want to run 3dMarkVantage all night yes.gif

i dont quite understand what you mean so im going to post a step by step guide

1. Put in vista disk or mount iso
2. open vlite and browse to the disk drive
3. it will ask where you want to copy the installation files
4. click next and select what you want to do (select create iso as well)
5. click apply when finished and will ask you what you want to do (rebuild one version which will only have 1 version e.g. ultimate, rebuild all which will apply the changes to all of the versions e.g. home basic/premium/ultimate or save changes which will keep the files and create a file where it will tell the installation what files to copy and what not to copy)
6. when it says its finished click next and make the iso which you will be using to burn to disk (use software which will burn the contents inside the iso)
7. reboot the computer and start installation like you would if it was a normal disk of vista

Yeah, me too. I'm receaving my laptop today with Vista Home Premium on it. Where can I find a lastsession.ini to for home premium to start with? Or should I rip my vista completely myself?

Where is the most updated list of all components/services etc to remove?

You can find some lastsession.ini in the forums but theyre either old or just posted for troubleshooting.

I say vLite is a learning experience, just try something and test the install using a virtual machine.
