I have hit this problem that I need to resolve.
I have Acronis True Image and have scheduled a backup procedure
using that. However we are limited on drive space so to clear some
of the logs that Microsoft Exchange leaves behind, I do a backup
with NTbackup = this automatically deletes the restore logs from
Exchange and therefore frees up some space (those logs are crucial to exchange
and can only be deleted by "exchange aware" software
Heres the crunch though:
If I schedule NTbackup to run then after that is finished the Acronis
is run on a schedule(about 2 hours later) then Acronis stops with an error
saying that It cannot read from the drive to be backed up.

This only happens if NTbackup is scheduled and doesnt matter if NT backup runs or not

I then have to delete the acronis schedule, and reschedule it - then do a reboot
Is there any way to get around this? I must have NTbackup sceduled unless theres
a way that acronis can safely delete the exchange restore logs

I have heard about people who say NTBackup is killed by Acronis, but
I cant find it the other way around - also acronis support is ridiculous on this subject and
suggest they have fixed all problems to do with VSS and that this is not their problem but a NTBackup
or a Win 2k3 problem
