Hello All,
I have an interesting but strange issue.

The setup: I have been running 3 Dell PE 8450's for the past year. 1 month ago DFS was installed on a RAID 5 partition replicationg across the 3 servers for COB purposes.

The issue: At first all was well in testing and implementaion. Within the past two weeks 2 of the PERC 3di controllers have failed and have been replaced.

If not in a crisis mode right now but I just thought that I would throw this out there and see if any one has ran into similar problems with Dell servers and if there might be a reason for it. Dell support ofcourse did not have an answer for me. Please let me know if any1 has an idea of why this might be happening. Thx

this is not an answer:

but I know hp comes and checks the servers and they try to fix it.
call 'em up to see if dell supports anything like that
I've dell laptop so far they've been very cooperative.
I broke my cd-rom, sent a replacement
my fan went crazy, (told them I could change it) they sent a new one
driver support sucks though..

Make sure you have the latest BIOS update for the RAID controller(s), and rule of thumb calling support for the hardware is the first option !
