realmad.gif I need some help guys!! I am installing Windows 2000 Advanced Server, it goes through the text setup just fine. On reboot I get the following: BLUE SCREEN of Death and/or frustration. Happens every time.

***STOP: 0x00000051 (0x000000C, 0xC0000005, 0xF1CBF9DC, 0xF1CBF634)
REGISTRY_ERROR

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or technical support group.

The system:

AMD 1000 MHz CPU
ASUS Mainboard
1GB memory
1-10 GB HDD
1-30 BG HDD

Please give me some advise as to get rid of this problem. Any and all answers would be appreciated.

Best Regards!
Sunil
seems that it is a registry error, do you have another os installed, you can check the minidump file and see what the specifics of the error was. It would have been created if setup did a dump, which error says.

But if i were you i would get another CD and try it, not a copy of yours but a totally differnet copy.

unsure.gif Sunil,

I have another on the way. I was maybe thinking that myself...but being fairly new at this, I had to get some opinions on it. Thanks for the reply.

Another question though. Can I network with Windows 2000 Professional?

Thanks again!!

Sunil,

Anwering your other question...no other OS installed.

You can network with any Windows OS. Windows 3.11 for Workgroups all the way up to Windows Server 2003.

If your advanced server ed. is currently SP3 or below....
Give this a try...

Windows 2000 Registry Repair Utility can help to repair some types of registry corruptions

An easy, useful addon to any multiboot compilation as well.
