I added MsgPlus to my bat file and it does install silently only after it's installed and before the bat file completes and windows loads for the first time it causes MSN v6.1 to pop up and also shows a "New Connection Wizard/Network Wizard" setup screen, neither of these are displayed when i don't include MsgPlus in my bat file, any ideas?
I do not have ethernet drivers installed during the GUI installation, i am aware that this may prevent the "New Connection Wizard/Network Wizard" from displaying (although haven't tested it) but i'm trying to keep my installation as non-system-specific as possible and searching for all NIC PCI card drivers aswell as all onboard NIC drivers to guarentee the problems avoided would be ludicrous, i'd sooner not install MsgPlus.
However to disable that annoying option of "Open Messenger Main Window When Messenger Starts" during or at least before MsgPlus installation begins to prevent MsgPlus causing MSN Messenger to appear before the bat file is complete (because after msgplus installs it runs messenger) is beyond me. All help appreciated.

adding ethernet doesn't really prevent that afaik.
i think there is another thread about msgplus. .i don't remember if it was ever concluded..
edit: hahahaha I just checked their website
what the heck is this
http://www.msgplus.net/index.php?view=plusbabe I love it msn should do something like that too...

The only advice I have for you is to leave MsgPlus out of the unattended installation and install it manually instead. Patchou needs to fix the problem where it opens IE and MSN Messenger when installed silently.

Understood and agreed, i've posted a suggestion on the MsgPlus forum and sent Email Notification. Once i recieve a positive that it will be added to the next release i'll respond in this thread as i'm sure i'm not the only one who wants to install MsgPlus silently.

That would be great XtremeMaC however even though i'm not entirely sure on what creating a *.msi installation file involves i'm sure it's not simple and i suggest you save yourself the effort, wait a week, and see what the response of the community over at www.msgplus.net turns out to be.
Don't get me wrong though i appreciate the offer and if you want to do it regardless that'd still be welcomed.

As promised here is confirmation that Patchou has already made the changes and they will take effect in his next public release.
