I have 256MB Of Ram.

When I first boot the computer up into Windows Xp I notice
That is said I only had 192MB of Ram. newwink.gif

So I went into the Bios and there I Noticed A Setting
Called UMA Video Memory and it is set to Auto

The little note on the side said that Setting this Changes the amount
of Memory Availible to the OS, By sharing the installed memory
with the video display.

Question:
Now What I want to know is can I disable this setting, so that
Windows Xp can have the full installed Memory or will
disabling the setting cause my Video display not to work?

Thanks for you Time And Reply In Advance. welcome.gif

If You Disable It, Then Your Video Won`t have any memory...So... Your Video Won`t work...

But.. I Guess You can manually Lower the setting..
So The Card Uses Less memory

You are right! I can not disable it.
The Bios does not have a setting for disabling
it as I found out. But I am able to set
it to a lower setting.

So I set it for 32Mb instead of 64Mb.

The display is not as Smooth as it was,
but i still have good color and video response.
And now Windows Xp Is Just A little Happier cause
it 32Mb more to work with. I will by more Mem soon anyway.

Shared video memory Sucks whistling.gif

Thank you very much for your Reply welcome.gif
