I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT600 1394 motherboard and for the life of me I can't figure out how to turn on the SMART monitoring for the hard drives. At bootup I see the message that SMART is disabled, but looking through all the BIOS options I can't find any way to turn it on.

I'm on the F5 BIOS revision. Can anyone help?

Try pressing Ctrl+F1 (or something similar) when you've entered bios...

I've upgraded to the F7 bios. Still no luck.

I'm having the same problem with my Gigabyte 8I-exp motherboard.
I looked and looked in the various bios settings and can't see anything...

have you tried this? i know for a fact that it worked on a lot of msi motherboards...

When you enter BIOS ... hold down Ctrl and press F1 ... you will bet new options in the BIOS menus. look around the menus for them and you will see them. This combination works for ALL Gigabyte Motherboards
