i'm personally a bit tired of both tongue.gif
you know, how many mac/LH shots you've seen in the last years??

if i need to go for 1 i would go for latest longhorn's aero, light green (herb) looks pretty good combined with transparency effects smile.gif
Rickie
I like a combination of both smile.gif

Longhorn - OSX Is kinda plain.

I'd pick Longhorn over OSX if I had to go with just the basics.

I still say that there's no replacement for AveDesk... the showcase function is just phenomenal! (See march desktops)

both yes.gif
lilweirddude
i like them both but probably longhorn more

I think the OSX theme only looks good on a Mac. I mean, without the crazy cool visual effects, the style is nothing. Same thing with Longhorn. Being just a theme without the respective effects makes it nothing more than a cheap mask. That's just what I believe, though...

P.S. I'm just running XP Pro with the MCE2005 Energy Blue Theme. I've messed around with others, but stuff directly from Microsoft seems to work the best. Sucks, but it's just the way it is.

longhorn here!

By the way, were can i find the the longhorn theme?
Win2k3EE
Windows Classic for me. I don't like those memory-consuming GUIs.

Same here

I like Aero Glass, if only it didn't take so much system resources. When Longhorn/Vista MCE comes out, can't wait to "port" over Aero Diamond.
snively
sorry but longhorn has to be one of the worst "official" desktop themes i've seen. i thought i was looking at a newbie themer's first release the first time i saw it.
Skyfrog
I use classic myself. I use an OS to get stuff done, not for something pretty to look at.
HybridShadow
I like longhorns style
The apple one is good but they only give you a choice of Blue and Graphite

@snively - can you make a better one for me and i'll use it and i'll submit it to MS and they can use it
larrylim
Shouldn't someone change Lonhorn to Vista by now newwink.gif
bledd
i chose Longhorn, but didn't see the classic button (tired)

classic all the way!

b0se classic is my fav

Longhorn skins (on real longhorn) are freakin sweet tho, I love the fading buttons

I've had my first crack at Vista (the operating system formerly known as Longhorn tongue.gif), and I'd have to say that I most definately like the layout of Vista a lot better. The ability to quicky move to another subfolder is golden! Not to mention, that some text on the screen describing the window is probably more useful than a tiny thumbnail.

Longhorn (vista)

ok quick question 4 you! whats Nlight wacko.gif
Scubar
nLite is a windows installation reduction program, with it you can remove most of the useless junk thats not needed in your windows cd. thus making it install quicker and in nearly all cases the actual windows environment alot more stable.

ive been using nlite for some time now and its by far the most useful program ive ever used. nuhi should be given a medal or something for it. check out the nLite forum along with www.unattended.msfn.org site.

and oh yea my vote goes with longhorn. on a side note IceWM window manager for linux looks rather nice.

I picked Longhorn because if I wanted a Mac I'd go buy one. Contrary to popular perception, from a human interface perspective Windows beats OS X hands-down.

Here's a great article about the dock's shortcomings, by Bruce "Tog" Tognazzini, founder of Apple's Human Interface Group and Apple Employee #6.

That said, I use the System 5 visstyle by andymorum, with RAD.E8's icons.
Chikaka
Longhorn the best
Inferno911
longhorn, sleek and shiny

Well it seems I gatta be the first one to say it.... OSX is my choice!

I would love to have a computer running OSX but with all of the capabilities and programs of the PC / Windows system.

Kind Regards.

Window's classic.
kernelcored

Longhorn

Longhorn (vista), but some mac themes are really cute too... but many of them are too white.. and i hate white themes tongue.gif
I_Broke_My_MHZ
They still didn't get it to look right in the beta version of windows. Mac is better.
butman0
Longorn style smile.gif
alsiladka
Longhorn is lively . OSX looks nice but lil too soft.
LLXX
Windows classic. It looks clean, uncluttered, and very business-like. No fancy effects for me. I don't like GUIs that have everything being a memory-consuming set of bitmaps.
spazmire11
shoulda inclueded a winxp option.......
but longhorn style for me!
prx984
i like all 3 GUI's, the classic , longhorn and osx but in all honesty, XP is my most favorite. clean and apealing to me.
