as a member I have seen lately some avatars and sigs that are on the mature side and would be considered X-Rated.

My feelings are they do not belong on the board. Just my view.

Xperties is not alone. I have made objection to some of the language that is used here from time to time as well the images that are getting posted. Most of what has been offending me has come about over the last few months. I read more than I reply now a days because some of the replys are not helpful. This forum is about helping others, not about how mean you can be to others. There are rules for this board and I would like to see them used and enforced............

My sig was offensive to XPerties so I removed it, no idea why, I guess if I put Versace on it, he'd prefer that.

Mr. Psychomerc, From what I see you are no use to anyone on this board and even tho you have been banned 2-3 times you still like to push your luck. When will you learn you are not above the rules here or any where else.

umm.. content of his sigs? i must of missed this.. i see no sig nor avatar.. hmm well theres been a big influx of users in the past month due to msn6 etc and a lot of younger users have been coming.. though i am not blaming anyone but yes there has been a few remarks and images along the way that has offended me as well.. i wouldn't worry guys, it will blow over soon.. smile.gif

In regard to the ongoing rubbish and immature posts from some of our new members this week, we expect our long-term members to ignore these kind of threads or reply to bring it back on-topic and point out the error of their ways.

We also expect our members to use the 'Report a Post to a Moderator' feature if you feel offended by the post in question. This will allow an active mod/admin to edit/delete the offending post.

I think if you watch you will see that what you suggest is now as in the past being done. However it is not working... no.gif

Some of the members that have not used incorrect posting habits in the past are now starting to do so. This I fell because no one is doing anything to the new offenders of this practice. Simply reporting it so the post can be edited is like putting a band aid on a 6 inch cut..... It did not work the first time it was tried and it will not work now....

Please MSFN staff do not use the wait and see approach. This is a very well informed forum, let us keep it that way....

Yeah, I can see what you mean. We will start working on including specific rules to the header of all the threads in a forum, and the new Warning System feature in the new IPB 1.2 software will come into effect too once the forum software has reached final code status.

No rubbish and immature posts or explicit avatars, sigs, pictures here @ MSFN.
Everyone who not follow this rule will be warned first time then banned with no exception.

Thank you

That sounds good.. smile.gif Maybe a way of forcing users to be redirected to the TOS of the forum and if the user(s) break it, ban them.. not on silly ones like wrong signature sizes but things like racism, spamming etc etc

Well, I guess we now know why he (SqueakyByte) was banned, again!

C-Girl, Please don't ever be afraid to speak up...For the most part everyone on this forum seems to be a pretty stand up bunch of guys (and gals)...and don't forget, you can always PM one of the Mods...I am a fairly new member but I understand that this forum is for us...to help each other. It's up to us to keep it cleaned up.
C-Girl
Thanx Rik  You people are really supportive on this forum! smile.gif

I believe xperties is referring to the avatars and sigs that he posted asking aaronxp if they would be appropriate, and also his pictures of the "weapons" that he purchased. I don't believe these conform to MSFN rules.

The mods/admins/news posters work very hard to get where they are, and i believe they do not wish to lose their priveliges, so i can see no reason why they would risk this position to post such content
C-Girl
Same with the people on the forum for ages. They've worked hard to get posts, to be a loved member of the commnuity, and to get to know people. They wouldnt just post stuff like that. lol

Some people like to do it for some wierd way to drag attention to themselves. To be honest, i hope this kinda situation does not arise again, as material like this is not suitable for younger people, and it most probably will discourage our ladie population from coming here, I think it is time to get tough with this kind of behaviour. Don't get me wrong, you guys do a great job and i know you cant police everything, but I think we need to crack down on this kind of content as it is damaging to MSFN's image

When i came on here and saw SB's sig i had to clear my temporary itnernet files incase my mum came on the comp and thought id been looking at something i shouldnt, and i was reading one of his psots and my mum came in and i had to minimize the window really quick realmad.gif lol, but hes gone now smile.gif

and posting stuff like that aint a good way to get attention, i get attention by showing of my websites, lol smile.gif

at the time of this post was first made SqueakyByte has a lady shaking her breast and his sig was on the edge of nudity. That is what I was refering to.

As far as my gun, anyone who has know me for a while knows I own several and have talked about them before. I do not see that inappropriate at all.
C-Girl
yeah, its ok to talk about them, but posting pics...what if there was someone who had to look at the barrel of a gun, they could have been robbed, and they were recovering from stress... and then seeing a gun on here could kinda made them go a bit lulu lol

Someone could have been reaching over his PC with a bottle of water and dropped it causing them to be shocked, spent a year in the hospital with 1st degree burns and surfed here and saw a post about water cooling, modding your PC....they could lose it and kill themselves. woot.gif woot.gif

We could go on and on for years on what shouldn't and should be posted. So Im out of this thread. bye bye

everytime I turn around I see you whining and complaining when you are told something.

Why don't you just say what ever you have to say? Why don't you read the rules and follow them?

Ok, firstly, when I do say what I want to, people cant handle it (YOU), secondly, to make my point/points I have to use very primitive language so as not to confuse people (YOU AGAIN) and finally, guns and knives dont make you more attractive to the opposite sex so stop showing off (GUESS WHAT? ITS YOU!)

Happy now? Or is that too close to the truth for you to handle?

And to moderators/admins who think this is too "adult" or "immature" I am simply replying to a "whine" that was made regarding a simple question.

The rules are not followed to the letter by all admins/mods/veterans, so until these people decide to follow the rules to the letter than I will not as well. This is not to say that I haven't taken certain libertys, because I have, and I shall strive to mend my ways. And as for semi naked women being a problem, I suggest you all take a look at the July Desktops thread and make your own conclusions.
