I searched for a long time on this forum and I did not find anything about winlogon.exe replacement. I have replaced the default winlogon.ex_ file in the I386 folder by mine but when I install windows I have an error saying that the file is not the good one. I can ignore and then the installation is fine but I would like to avoid to get this error. How can I do to keep windows from checking the file ?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Simply SFC. angel.gif
Disable it in nlite if you don't really want it.

google for "jcarle compression bin"

put modifype into your system32 directory and drag your uncompressed winlogon.exe into compression bin and it'll modifype it and cab it for you, so won't wont bring up an error

May I ask which modifications you have made to your winlogon.exe ?

I'm guessing ones that aren't allowed to be discussed on these forums newwink.gif
