ive been using a wireless logitech media keyboard for quite some time and some of the letters have started to fade off and some fully removed, i was wondering if any body knew a way to paint the letters back on the keyboard that looks good, or some other way

maybe its best to just buy a new keyboard but this one was kinda pricey and it works perfectly fine, its just sad to see about 8 of the letters partly or fully missing from the keys.

any body have any good ideals on what i could try, other then trying to use a form of white out, ive tried searching google but it seems this topic is non excistent

i was hoping to find some type of lettering kit, maybe sticker, or stencle, but no luck so far

Stickers exist for foreign languages (well, here they do ). Try to buy a european language set.

Some manufacturers if you can and complain will either replace the keyboard or send you new key caps. worth a call to find out.

i have a DAS Keyboard..cost a little more than i would have liked to play but its completely blank...the lack of letters does help a person learn their typing, so its not all that bad to loose letters.

lol i agree and ive been typing for over 20 years now, but its hard on my wife and my kids, its easy for me, but the wifey is complaining..

Just take some white paint and a small brush to it...

After the paint dries, cover the surface with clear tape to prevent them from wearing off again.

In fact, the tape idea might also be useful to prolong the life of the lettering on the other keys.

Or coat the keys with clear fingernail polish.

OT:
Had a customer once, back in the early 80's when keyboards cost $100 or more (at least the real IBM ones) that took fingernail polish to all of the keys after spraying it down with a full can of Lysol. Then brought it back and said she needed a new keyboard because it didn't work. That was the first time I ever took a keyboard apart. After she bought a new one and refuse to take the "modified" on with her I took it home disassembled it and ran it through the dishwasher. Then put it in the oven on low for an hour. Left it out to finish any possible drying for a week, put it back together, and it actually worked for many years. But the keys were too smooth, never got used to that.

IcemanD: IBM made the very best keyboards! I'm definitely a Model M fan. Keyboards with buckling spring switches is all I use - there's just no going back. I've got several "standard" keyboards (many logitech & MS - some that cost 150$), and they all suck badly... If I was rich I'd likely try a maltron keyboard, but 425£ is a lot of money for a keyboard (after exchange rate, ship and customs clearance that's like 800$CAD!)

which of course can be made as DIY in about 3 minutes with two bent paper clips or a little piece of copper wire.....

And yes, I still have 4 (four) salvaged "real" IBM keyboards, the good ol' ones that are HEAVY, have mechanical feeling and removable key "overcaps", the first one recently died after about 15 years if honourable service, so I guess I'm ok for the next 45 years at least.
