Cons: Same as most LCD's. not quite as responsive as a CRT, extremely minor ghosting in Halo. Extremely minor. its only when looking at white lights on a black ceiling and turning really fast. And 60hz refresh rate? most are around 75. but the size makes up for it. and maybe all 22" lcd's are locked at 60hz. but its still a con.

Taken off the page you linked.

My choice would be this SAMSUNG 215TW Black 21" 8ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor.

It may not have HDMI but it sure has analog SVHS / video in.

puntomx has selected a great monitor there. a cheaper one at 20.1" is this:

Ok... how about This

Can’t tell you much about that one, just that Gateway doesn’t make things there self, they are just an OEM computer builder.

Does it need to be 22”, and why that? If you buy a 21” You have more choices.

Just retired my Mitsubishi 19" CRT after 6 years of great service.
Got a Samsung SynMaster 225BW (22" wide)

WOW am I impressed, it's very bright and amazingly sharp at 1680 x 1050,
8 ms refresh should be pretty good with games and Internet is graet with the wide screen.

Should be really good with Vista (yes, I know its crap)

Personally, I prefer the Dell Ultrasharps to every single other LCD screen I've seen before (including NEC/viewsonic models). It's almost all I'd consider buying. But again, that's just me. Decently priced for the size, nice high resolutions and all.

I'm planning to buy a pair of these and a dual monitor (DVI) KVM switch sometime next year. As if the monitors aren't expensive enough, the basic 4 port dual monitor (DVI) switches are like 400$ + the cable sets (10 expensive 6ft DVI cables)! And most freaking KVMs don't play nice with logitech mice/trackballs seemingly (I know the 400$ startech doesn't like it), and that's a problem for me as MS doesn't make trackballs... I'd be happy with a single 30" Ultrasharp too, but finding a switch for dual link DVI (plus new video cards) is only going to be harder and more expensive. Ideally, I'd love something like the SwitchView SC8, but that's like 2000$ laugh.gif

I have read some ppls who say to stay clear of all 22inch LCD but thats about the size I am going for. Whats the beef with 22inchers?(simple explaining would be good....my head is sbout to blow from the past few LCD days huh.gif )

Also....about what response time would I not even notice. 5 and below?

Update!

After going and looking at some screens..Viewsonic/Samsung/Gateway. I am going with the 22" Gateway

It looked the best to me and the controls on the Viewsonic were sad. thumbdown.gif
