Can someone give me some advice on exporting customized group policy settings?
nLite may be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I still make adjustments to the group policy.

What I'd like to know is, is there a certain set of files, registry key's, etc. I need to export so that I can
apply my group policy settings to my other PC's without having to run gpedit.msc on each and every one.

I've checked Microsoft Technet, but it wasn't much help.

I'm using an nLited version of Windows XP Pro SP2.

Thanks for your help. whistling.gif

I'm sorry for resurrecting this post but this is exactly my problem and I can't see the solution anywhere with the search function.

Cheers.

Local Policies are registry settings

Others are stored into Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol

You typically create a Registry.pol with the desired settings and copy that in subsequent installations, for instance by creating:
-$OEM$\$$\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\Registry.pol

Thank you very much, but just another question:

The Local Policies in the registry can be exported somehow?

Yes as *.reg or *.inf file but you need to know where they are: Google is your friend here.

Local policy as well as group policy editors are just that, policy editors. If you can manually tweak it, you should try and avoid policy editing. If really slim and fast nlite windows is what u aim for.
