I ripped igames.inf file from XP cd and tried to install it manually on Vista. Everything went OK i guess. Links on start menu appeared but when i try to open any of them error notification says, "(game) is unable to start. close some other programs and try again or try reinstalling (the game) using Add Remove programs in conrol panel"

Well, i'm not an inf expert but maybe the igames.inf file is incompatible with vista. There should be a way to install these games on vista.

It's boring to have to open zone site to play backgammon and yet it's difficult for my 70 year old mom.

Isn't this for Vista applications to run on XP? I'm trying to run XP applications (Internet Games) on Vista.

Copied zoneoc.dll and igames.inf to a folder and tried to install with this command,

rundll32 zoneoc.dll,ZoneSetupProc igames.inf

Windows host process (rundll32) stops working.

"zoneoc.dll" must register "zclientm.exe" according to the explanation in igames.inf file.

So, i think while zoneoc.dll is not vista compatible, it's impossible to install and play XP internet games in vista.
